ITV's Emmerdale Actor Reveals They've Exited Show and Final Scenes Have Aired Already
Steven Gidwaney said his final scenes have aired after a short return, and he hinted Simo could appear again.
Actor Steven Gidwaney confirmed his departure from ITV soap Emmerdale, with his final scenes as character Simo having already aired following his second short stint.
Simo was introduced in the latter half of 2025 as one of many illegal workers on a farm run by Ray and Celia, living hidden in an attic alongside fellow resident Bear Wolf.
Returning to screens last month, Simo played a major role in the trial against Bear, Paddy, and Dylan but shocked viewers by reversing his stance and claiming Bear had 'special privileges' in the abuse.
Taking to social media, Gidwaney thanked co-stars Dominic Brunt, Joshua Richards, Fred Kettle, and Andrew Scarborough plus directors Simon Ferguson and Matt Hilton, while viewers praised his performance as "Great role Steven, well done."
Gidwaney hinted at a potential future return, writing "That's Simon 'Simo' Clarke over and out, for now, who knows, maybe we'll see him again," suggesting the door remains open for a comeback to the Dales.
