The Full Setlist as Elton John Plays Rock in Rio
The 79-year-old singer played a nostalgia-heavy set of his biggest hits for more than 100,000 fans.
On Monday, Elton John performed at the Cidade do Rock in Rio, Brazil, before more than 100,000 fans in a one-night-only return to the stage for the British musician.
Nearly three years after completing his five-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, the artist returned to Brazil after skipping Latin America during his most recent global tour.
The 79-year-old performer played hits including "Rocket Man" and "Sacrifice" while fans showed affection by wearing sequined outfits and flamboyant glasses reminiscent of his iconic looks.
Elton John closed the fourth day of concerts at the Cidade do Rock, appearing alongside Brazilian singer-songwriter Gilberto Gil, who has also retired from touring.
A five-time Grammy winner, the artist has also earned two Golden Globes, a Tony Award, six Brit Awards, and two Oscars for best original song, cementing his legacy.
