The Turkish car market is undergoing a quiet but very rapid transformation. Until just a few years ago, gasoline and diesel models accounted for the bulk of sales, while electric and hybrid vehicles captured more than half of the market for the first time in the first nine months of 2026. Of the 627,977 cars sold in the January-September period, 326,35 were electric or hybrid. Thus, the total share of these vehicles increased to 51.9 percent.
