The elections for the Basque office and the People's Assembly in Gagauzia could be held on the same day, but the process remains blocked because of a legislative vacuum. The Vice-President of the Central Electoral Commission, Pavel Postica, says that the institution responsible for declaring the vacancy is the People's Assembly, which creates a decision-making block in the organisation of the election.
