The Election Commission has extended the deadline for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, currently underway in 12 states and union territories, by one week. All stages of voter list revision will now be completed according to the new dates. SIRs in these 12 states can now be updated until December 11th. The draft roll will now be released on December 16th.
