- Following its acquisition of Foran Mining Corp. earlier this year, Eldorado Gold advanced McIlvenna Bay, which was designated one of the government's first five fast-track projects last year.
- Eldorado President George Burns noted that McIlvenna Bay adds substantial copper and zinc production, with operations ramping toward a nameplate capacity of 4,900 tonnes per day.
- During the ramp-up period, the company will optimize the flotation circuit and reagent addition performance while completing the paste plant and underground infrastructure.
