EFL Trophy renamed Jersey Mike’s Trophy in five-year sponsorship deal
The five-year deal gives Jersey Mike’s naming rights as the competition prepares for its 2026-27 campaign and the final returns to Wembley.
On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the EFL announced a five-year sponsorship deal naming American sandwich chain Jersey Mike the new title sponsor of the EFL Trophy, which was immediately renamed the Jersey Mike Trophy.
Jersey Mike is entering the United Kingdom market with its first restaurant opening this autumn on Argyll Street near Oxford Circus, followed by three additional central London sites before nationwide expansion.
The Jersey Mike Trophy features League One and League Two clubs alongside Premier League Under-21 teams, with EFL chief executive officer Trevor Birch saying, "We are pleased to welcome Jersey Mike as title sponsor of the EFL Trophy."
Founder Peter Cancro said, "It feels like a really natural partnership, and we can't wait to be part of the journey," emphasizing Jersey Mike's community-rooted approach to the sponsorship.
More than 270,000 fans watched the competition last season, with the tournament concluding at Wembley on Sunday, April 11, where the final will determine this year's champion.
