After a debate that began in late September and lasted for nine sessions, the Vaud Grand Council approved on Tuesday the major reform of the energy law, which the left claims has been watered down or even weakened by the right wing. The Grand Council of Vaudois accepted on Monday in third debate its new energy law with 99 votes in favour, 31 against and 13 abstentions. Presented at the end of 2024, the initial draft of the Council of State was largely amended by the right. The UDC announced, for its part, to launch a referendum.
