The National Geographical Institute (IGN) has counted 1,693 earthquakes linked to the Alhendin seismic series, so called by the public entity because the first of great magnitude had its epicenter in this municipality, tremors in general superficial and very much felt by the population.
The Alhendin seismic series, which has affected the city of Granada and its metropolitan area since August 14, has already accumulated 1,693 events.
