Earthquakes have been frequent this year. At 6:52 a.m. on December 13, a 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Pengzhou City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, with a focal depth of 13 kilometers. Previously, earthquakes had also occurred in Pishan County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, and Daguan County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, among other places. The strongest earthquake was a 5.0-magnitude earthquake that struck Shuanghu County, Nagqu City, Tibet.
