SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — On Wednesday, January 7th, Duke Energy and county officials will test the outdoor warning sirens around the Brunswick Nuclear Plant. Residents may hear sirens between 10 and 11 in the morning and they will sound for 5 to 30 seconds. Anyone who hears a siren during scheduled testing does not need to take action.
