Duece Jones-Drew, son of MJD, commits to UCLA
The three-star running back chose the Bruins over 11 offers after rushing for 463 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
- On Sunday, Duece Jones-Drew announced his commitment to UCLA, following in the footsteps of his father, former NFL All-Pro Maurice Jones-Drew.
- The 175-pound prospect from Salle High School is a three-star recruit ranked 65th among California prospects with demonstrated track speed.
- Director of scouting Andrew Ivins said Jones-Drew "shifts gears with ease and has the agility to make defenders miss in tight quarters." The prospect recorded 83 carries for 463 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
- "Coach Chesney's experience as a winner set them apart for me," Duece said, crediting the running backs coach's retention as influential in his decision to join the program.
- With this pledge, UCLA now holds 16 total prospects in the 2027 class, continuing a recruiting push that accelerated after head coach Bob Chesney's arrival from James Madison last year.
