RAILWAY traffic between Sarajevo and Ploče has been temporarily suspended due to safety checks on the track after more than 1,000 fires in Herzegovina.
The FBiH Railways announced that due to the consequences of the fire, passenger rail traffic on the route Sarajevo - Čapljina - Sarajevo was temporarily suspended.
A special check is carried out whether the fire has affected the railway line, the contact network and power plants, as well as whether there is a risk of trees or poles affected by the fire falling onto the railway line.
Due to the consequences of the fire, passenger rail traffic on the Sarajevo-Capljina-Sarajevo route was temporarily suspended - Passenger traffic will be re-established as soon as the expert services complete the inspections and confirm that all the necessary safety and technical conditions for its safe operation have been met.
