DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA Marks Its First Anniversary with Super Gogeta, Reveals Year-End Overhaul!
The overhaul will add a third-person battle view, simpler win conditions and up to 140 free G-Capsules during the anniversary season.
- On Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. announced a "Year-End Overhaul" for DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA that shifts combat to a third-person, over-the-shoulder perspective, launching with Season 7 on September 9.
- Celebrating the game's one-year anniversary, the team explained they implemented these changes based on player feedback since launch to transform the battle experience into a more action-oriented system.
- Season 7 introduces the fusion warrior Super Gogeta, Android 19 as a Helper, and San-Shinron as a boss, while new "MAX Super Attacks" can replace existing abilities and the boss lineup rotates every two weeks.
- Players can collect up to 140 free G-Capsules across seven major campaigns, including the "Anniversary Celebration G-Capsule" and "GEKISHIN Rules Play Campaign," which offer the 1st Anniversary Party Hat and Special Passes as rewards.
- Bandai Namco will share further Year-End Overhaul details throughout 2026, with future updates including Halloween-themed Skin Bundles, in-game tournaments, and additional Special Passes planned for the second half of Season 7.
