Dozens of migrants taken to Dover after more than 30 hours at sea
Around 60 migrants were transferred to Border Security Command after more than 30 hours at sea, officials said.
- A dinghy carrying 59 people spent more than 33 hours at sea before rescue boats met it off Hampshire on 22 September.
- French rescue teams tracked the vessel overnight after it reportedly left Vierville-sur-Mer in Normandy.
- RNLI lifeboats and a Coastguard aircraft helped transfer the passengers to Border Force for processing.
- Defence Minister Luke Pollard said, “Our borders are secure, but we want to make them stronger,” as an investigation examined an earlier undetected landing.
