The Steering Committee for the search, collection, and identification of the remains of martyrs in Dong Nai City has handed over 4,618 samples of martyrs' remains for DNA testing.
(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Steering Committee for the search, collection, and identification of the remains of martyrs in Dong Nai City has just handed over 4,618 samples of martyrs' remains to serve the DNA testing work for identification.
All 3,625 remains of unidentified martyrs have been excavated and collected by forces at 11 martyrs' cemeteries throughout the province according to proper technical procedures. Phu Tho completed the handover of 100% of the first batch of martyrs' remains for DNA testing. Artifacts bearing the name of martyr Tran Van Thanh were discovered during DNA sampling. Tay Ninh completed DNA sampling, collecting 15,336 samples from martyrs' graves.
On the morning of September 10th, at the Ben Luc Martyrs' Cemetery, the Steering Committee for the Search, Collection, and Identification of Martyrs' Remains of Tay Ninh Province solemnly held a ceremony to transport and hand over samples of martyrs' remains for DNA testing to determine their identities.
