Basarnas Finds Dead Victim Inside KM Virgo, 125 People Still Missing
jatim.jpnn.com, SURABAYA - Basarnas divers found a victim who died on the KM Virgo Transport 8, while checking the interior of the ship that sank in the waters of the Java Sea, Sunday (20/9).
The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) diving team found another victim from the KM Virgo Transport 8 during a search operation on Sunday (September 20, 2026). The victim was found while the team was searching the hull of the vessel.
A total of 118 victims were found, consisting of 108 survivors and 10 people who died, while there are still 125 people who have not been found in the manifest of the Virgo Transport 8 ship.
