Disaster Loan Center Opens in Mt Vernon
A federal Disaster Loan Outreach Center opens today at the United Way office at 716 Main Street in Mt. Vernon. SBA representatives will help Jefferson County residents, businesses and nonprofit organizations apply for low-interest loans for damage caused by the June 21 storms and tornado. Walk-ins are welcome. The center will remain open through August 20.
