The price of a liter of diesel fuel is expected to exceed two euros on Tuesday. According to calculations by the newspaper Finance, it is expected to be two euros and one cent if the government does not change excise duties. Gasoline is expected to rise to 1.77 euros and heating oil to 1.70 euros per liter.
Drivers are likely to see the price of gasoline rise by about five cents and diesel by two cents per liter on Tuesday, which will bring the price of diesel above two euros per liter for the first time. The highest price increase of almost 10 cents per liter is expected for heating oil, according to calculations on the Finance website.
