Diddy slams 50 Cent's Netflix doc as a 'shameful hit piece'
- On December 2, 2025, Netflix released the four-part Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which Combs's representatives called a shameful hit piece and tried to block with a cease-and-desist.
- Longtime rival Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, executive producer, is tied to a decades-long feud while Combs has collected private archival footage since age 19.
- Specific footage in the trailer shows material filmed six days before Combs's September 2024 arrest, which Combs's representatives say was taken out of context and includes private recordings with his lawyers.
- Filmmaker Alexandria Stapleton said last week, `It came to us, we obtained the footage legally and have the necessary rights`, while Combs's legal team warns of legal action after his $100 million suit.
- Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence and appealing while facing roughly 70 civil lawsuits, highlighting the documentary's potential legal and reputational impact.

Netflix released a four-series documentary about P. Diddy (the real name is Sean Combs), a rapper and producer who received four years and two months in prison in a case of sexual exploitation and abuse, and the court's decision, although it led to a real term, took it as a victory for Combs: he would have been sentenced to life if the jury had not acquitted him on the most serious charges, and he would be released in 2028.
The series, launched on Tuesday and which Sean Combs tried to ban, is produced by the American rapper 50 Cent, a long-time rival of "Diddy".
