Trump says Iran ceasefire was 'favour' to Pakistan
US President Donald Trump said he agreed to the Iran ceasefire as a favour to Pakistan and other nations, though he personally would not have supported it otherwise.
Trump emphasized that he opposes Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and demands that Tehran relinquish its enriched uranium stockpiles.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Pakistan's mediation in the conflict is difficult due to mistrust but remains ongoing, and Iran welcomes constructive diplomatic roles by China.
The ceasefire paused hostilities starting February 28, with US Vice President JD Vance leading talks in Islamabad aimed at negotiations over Iran's nuclear program.
