CSK Issues Massive Statement over Rumors of MS Dhoni Wanting to Buy a Stake in the IPL Franchise – Reports
CSK said no discussions have taken place on a larger stake for MS Dhoni, who already owns more than one lakh shares, reports said.
Chennai Super Kings has formally denied recent reports claiming former India captain MS Dhoni is seeking to substantially increase his ownership stake in the IPL franchise.
Reports had suggested Dhoni aimed to raise his holding to between 15 and 20 per cent, though his current shareholding remains at approximately 0.01 to 0.02 per cent.
As a privately held company, CSK shares are not available for public trading, requiring any ownership changes to occur through private transactions only.
Following Stephen Fleming's recent departure as head coach, Dhoni remains actively involved in key cricketing decisions, including discussions over the new coach appointment.
