The trial of a 64-year-old woman from Puurs-Sint-Amands has finally been able to start at the Antwerp Court of Assizes. The woman is on trial for the death of her mother (81), who suffered from dementia, in a residential care center in Bornem. The trial threatened to be postponed for a third time due to health problems with the accused. To prevent this, she is allowed to follow the sessions from a special chair, instead of in the dock.
