Danish Central Bank Doubles Growth Forecast on Novo’s US Boom
Denmark’s central bank more than doubled its growth forecast for this year as surging US sales and production at Novo Nordisk A/S fuel strong exports in the Nordic country’s pharmaceutical industry.
The Nationalbank now expects growth in 2026 of four percent. In March, the forecast was for growth of 1.8 percent.
The Nationalbank expects much higher growth this year than previously. Much of the growth, however, will come from Danish pharmaceutical production abroad.
The progress in the Danish economy is primarily driven by the pharmaceutical industry's production abroad.
The Danish economy is in balance, says the Nationalbank, which at the same time calls for the fiscal accelerator not to be stepped on any further.
