Delhi Cabinet Clears DURGA E-Auto Scheme for Women, Transgender Persons

- Of the 1,300 proposed electric autos, 1,170 permits are allocated to women and 130 to transgender beneficiaries; the Delhi Government has dedicated Rs 20 crore in the 2026-27 Budget.
- Eligible applicants must be Delhi residents aged 20 to 40 with a valid Public Service Vehicle badge and family income not exceeding Rs 5 lakh, applying through the official portal.
- Beneficiaries face a mandatory three-year lock-in period prohibiting vehicle sale or transfer, while the scheme complements existing support programs like the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana.
