Venezuela Interim Leader Arrives In US For UNGA
Rodríguez will meet Donald Trump for the first time as the White House eases sanctions and expands access to Venezuela’s oil sector.
- On Monday, Venezuelan interim leader Delcy Rodriguez arrived in the United States for the United Nations General Assembly, with a scheduled meeting with President Donald Trump marking the first such encounter between a U.S. president and a Venezuelan leader in more than 11 years.

- Rodriguez is scheduled to address the General Assembly on September 24, stating Venezuela will "make its voice heard and defend its principles" under the session theme "Restoring trust, managing transformation." More than 190 world leaders are expected, with the summit running until September 28.
