- The DeepSeek Harness features a modular architecture where "everything is a plugin," including the model adapter and agent loop. Because there is "no privileged core to patch," developers extend the system by mounting new plugins alongside existing components.
- Supporting various providers, the harness works with Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Azure, and Google. The system also features an append-only session log, ensuring every model request remains reconstructable for telemetry and debugging.
- Four presets offer varied functionality, ranging from a Minimal configuration to a Standard mode with full shell access. The backend secures operations by wrapping subprocesses in Linux Landlock, Seatbelt, or Windows ACL.
