Death Cab for Cutie returns to independent label ANTI- with 'I Built You a Tower,' their first album in four years, recorded in three weeks and accompanied by expanded North American and European tours.
- On March 16, Death Cab for Cutie announced their 11th studio album I Built You A Tower and shared lead single Riptides with a Jason Lester-directed video, marking their first release in four years on ANTI-.
- After over 20 years on Atlantic, Death Cab for Cutie moved back to Barsuk Records, reconnecting to their indie roots following anniversary tours for Transatlanticism and Plans and The Postal Service reunion dates.
- Recording with John Congleton produced and engineered the new LP, the band completed it in three weeks at Animal Rites, Los Angeles, and members’ homes in Seattle, Bellingham, Los Angeles, and Portland.
- The summer tour opens July 10 in Minneapolis and concludes August 7 in Paso Robles, with a UK and European leg added for September–October; ticket pre-sales start March 18 at 10am local time with general sale March 20.
