Monster Mansion Trio Who Murdered Child Killer to Never Be Released
Taylor could receive a whole-life order after jurors found him guilty of two murders and an attempted murder, prosecutors said.
On Friday, David Taylor received a whole-life order for murdering child killer Kyle Bevan at HMP Wakefield, following his conviction Thursday alongside accomplices Mark Fellows and Lee Newell at Leeds Crown Court.
Taylor was already awaiting sentencing for murdering 24-year-old Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin and attempting to murder Detective Constable Darren Bratby with an improvised weapon at HMP Frankland in July 2024.
CCTV footage captured Taylor, Fellows, and Newell entering Bevan's cell, where they stabbed him 25 times and then "tucked him up in bed" before leaving him to bleed to death.
Presiding Judge Mrs Justice McGowan imposed "new and separate" whole-life orders on Fellows and Newell for Bevan's murder, remarking, "I've never had to sentence someone for a third murder, and in two of these defendants' cases that's what just happened."
Prosecutors argued HMP Wakefield operated under a "distorted moral hierarchy" forcing inmates to mix, with previous weeks seeing attacks on convicted paedophile Ian Watkins and David Minto, who murdered 16-year-old Sasha Marsden.
