South Korea’s K9 Thunder ‘Shoot-and-Scoot’ Artillery Is Joining the US Army
The US Army's Mobile Tactical Cannon program has selected the Hanwha K9MH, which mounts the unmanned turret of the latest K9A2 tracked howitzer onto an 8x8 truck. Hanwha says it can be emplaced for shoot-and-scoot fires in 30 seconds, and its crewless turret carries a 40-round magazine reloaded without human intervention in 18 minutes.
