- In recent years, Bongino repeatedly claimed on his podcast that the pipe bombs placed near Democratic and Republican National Committee headquarters on Jan. 5, 2021, were an inside job; the devices were viable but did not detonate.
- The Justice Department announced on Dec. 4 the arrest of Brian Jerome Cole Jr., 30, of Northern Virginia, and authorities say he believed the 2020 election was stolen; Bongino told Fox News the FBI is 'pretty comfortable we have our guy' and declined to speculate on the bomber's identity.
