Defendant Bünyamin Durukan, who is not in custody, stated: "(Defendant Ümit Polat) said he understood the economic difficulties I was experiencing. In the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) case, the presiding judge ordered Yeni Parti (New Party) MP Suat Özçağdaş to leave the courtroom, citing a prior decision he had made. Özçağdaş requested the decision in writing. He also reacted angrily to the gendarmerie officers who tried to remove him from the courtroom.

The trial of 414 defendants, 51 of whom are in custody, including presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, in the Istanbul 33rd High Criminal Court's New Courtroom at the Marmara Closed Prison in Silivri, continues for the 79th day.
