Buenos Aires, 20 March (NA) -- Argentina witnessed a sustained drop in its birth rate in the last decade and, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Nation, in 2023, 460,902 live births were registered in the country, representing a decrease of 48 per cent compared to the year 2000, while this downward trend continues and is even more marked among adolescent mothers, whose fertility rate fell 64 per cent since 2005.
