Crimea suspends children's summer camps as Ukraine strikes squeeze fuel supplies
Russian-held Crimea, a popular destination for Russians, has suspended tourist activities and children's summer camps until September, its governor said on Monday, owing to a fuel crisis caused by Ukrainian attacks on sea routes and supply roads.
In the temporarily occupied Crimea from June 22 to September 1, admission to children's camps was stopped.
The authorities of the annexed Crimea have banned children's camps, sanatoriums, boarding houses and other recreation centers from hosting children's groups. The corresponding decree was signed by Sergey Aksenov, the appointed head of the peninsula. It is also impossible to book places in recreation centers.
