Judge Patricio Álvarez concluded that the record presented by the Public Prosecutor's Office was not sufficient to order the most serious precautionary measure of pretrial detention.
On Tuesday night, the 7th Court of Guarantee rejected pre-trial detention and ordered the national preventive measure for all defendants in the so-called ProCulture case. The court ruled, at this stage of the proceedings, that “there is no conclusive record” to determine that the accused represent a danger to society.
