County talks stopping mushroom commerce

Concern about public health caused Assistant County Attorney Ethan Manke to bring proposed legislation to the Cherokee County Commissioners on Monday. This regulation would police the selling of hallucinogenic flora and fungi (mushrooms) inside Cherokee County. The proposed ordinance called the “Hallucinogenic Flora and Fungi Regulation act,” was presented to the county commission ready for passage.
