Counterfeit prescription pills sold online have killed at least 13 people in the Netherlands and caused dozens of serious poisonings, according to an Erasmus MC investigation conducted at the request of NOS.The Dutch Forensic Institute confirmed six deaths and four severe poisonings linked to fake medications.
At least 13 people have died after taking illegal sleeping pills sold by two men from Breda, among others. The men were arrested last month, but the damage now appears to be greater than previously thought. This is according to an inventory by Erasmus MC, requested by the NOS.
