- A packaging error mixed caramel-filled mini beignets with chocolate-hazelnut mini beignets, and the recall notice said affected products were distributed across many U.S. states between Jan. 16, 2026 and Jan. 30, 2026.
- The mislabeled treats may contain undeclared hazelnuts/filberts, so people with hazelnut or filbert allergies face a risk of severe, life-threatening reactions, Costco said.
- In a statement, Costco said it regretted the inconvenience and directed customers with questions to https://customerservice.costco.com for more information.
- Last month, shoppers sued Costco alleging it falsely advertised Kirkland Signature Seasoned Rotisserie Chicken as containing 'no preservatives,' while a Jan. 22, 2026 lawsuit named sodium phosphate and carrageenan, prompting Costco signage removal.
