CONAKRY- Following the conclusion of an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Karamo Kaba, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea (BCRG), called for going beyond the simple financial logic to initiate a structural and sustainable transformation of the country.
On Wednesday, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced that it had reached an agreement with the Government of Guinea for a total aid programme of $439 million to "strengthen the country's fiscal and monetary position" and that the programme, which would last 41 months, would still have to be validated by the Fund's Board of Directors, which would meet in the near future, and would also help the country to finalize its iron mine developme…
