There are 100 health workers, journalists, politicians and peace activists on board, according to the Iceland-Palestine Association. The Conscience, a member of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, launched a voyage in May to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and break the Israeli blockade. Following a drone attack, the Conscience vessel was towed to the Port of Otranto, Italy, for repairs and maintenance. Following completion of the necessary repairs, the Conscience vessel redeparted for Gaza.
