Weigman accounted for 4 touchdowns as Houston scored 27 unanswered points after UCF built a 17-0 lead.
On Saturday, Houston defeated Central Florida 27-17 in a Big 12 Conference clash after trailing 17-0. Quarterback Conner Weigman led the Cougars, scoring three second-half rushing touchdowns to secure the comeback victory.
Central Florida built a 17-0 lead behind quarterback Keyone Jenkins, who threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Josh Derry and scored on a 5-yard run. The Knights' early dominance gave them control before Houston's defense forced critical turnovers.
Weigman finished with 239 passing yards and 50 rushing yards, spearheading the offense. His 19-yard touchdown run sparked the rally, while receiver Patrick Overmyer added 76 yards on six catches.
Kicker Jonathan Dimas cemented the win with a 40-yard field goal and a career-high 46-yarder late in the fourth quarter. These scores capped 27 unanswered points for Houston.
The Cougars now hold a 1-1 conference record and should maintain their position in the AP Top 25 poll. Meanwhile, the Knights fell to 0-2 on the road this season.
