Connecticut man sentenced to over seven-and-a-half years for trying to support ISIS

In a sentencing memo, attorneys for Ahmad Khalil Elshazly told the court that treating him with compassion "will show those who practice the Muslim faith that the United States is not the enemy of Islam."
