Modern vehicles act as digital hubs that continuously track and record user activities, raising privacy concerns according to a Quebec report.
Quebec's committee on ethics in science and technology published a 64-page report identifying 12 major privacy risks in connected cars, such as cybersecurity threats, location tracking, and unfair insurance practices.
The report highlights that cameras from connected vehicles can record bystanders without their consent, posing additional privacy issues.
Luc Bégin, head of the committee, emphasizes the importance of public awareness about these risks so people can make informed decisions regarding smart cars.
