Colts QB Richardson Shows up for Offseason Workouts, AP Source Says
On Monday, quarterback Anthony Richardson appeared at Indianapolis Colts voluntary offseason workouts, marking his return to the team after an offseason of trade rumors.
Last week, the Colts declined Richardson's 5th-year option, placing him in a contract year and removing a more than $22 million guarantee for the 2027-28 season.
Across 15 starts, Richardson owns a 67.8 career passer rating and a 50.6% completion rate, though his tenure has been marked by multiple injuries including a season-ending orbital bone fracture last year.
General Manager Chris Ballard stated the mid-draft trade market for Richardson was "virtually nonexistent," noting the team will exercise patience while evaluating his future.
With quarterback Daniel Jones signed to a 2-year, $88M extension this offseason, Richardson faces an uphill battle to reclaim the starting position within the organization.
