Report: Colts DE Arden Key (Hamstring) Out 3-4 Weeks
Shane Steichen said Indianapolis will rely on Jaylahn Tuimoloau, Caden Curry and George Gumbs Jr. after Key’s injury left the edge group thinner.
On Tuesday, ESPN reported that Indianapolis Colts starting defensive end Arden Key is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury sustained during Sunday's game.
Head coach Shane Steichen confirmed Monday that Key suffered the injury during the 30-13 victory over the Washington Commanders in London and would miss "some time."
Before the injury, Key recorded eight tackles, 0.5 sacks, and three quarterback hits in four starts, while Colts Wire noted he had 10 quarterback pressures through three games.
Indianapolis will adjust its defensive rotation, utilizing Jaylahn Tuimoloau and Caden Curry to absorb Key's workload, while Steichen identified George Gumbs Jr. as an additional option.
The reshaped pass rush faces an immediate test against the Pittsburgh Steelers, followed by the Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings, and Jacksonville Jaguars in an demanding stretch.
