'He Is Being Framed': Khan Sir's Students Welcome Court Relief in Patna Coaching Centre Firing Case
Police say video shows KGS guards firing after the clash, and investigators later named Khan in a separate attempted murder case.
On Tuesday, a Patna court will hear educator Faisal Khan's anticipatory bail plea in an attempted murder case filed after police booked him under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Arms Act following a June 2 incident at Khan Global Studies.
Violence erupted June 2 at Khan Global Studies in Patna's Musallahpur area when KGS manager Kanhaiya Kumar Singh alleged in an FIR that assailants attacked the premises, damaged property, and "threatened to blow it up."
Lawyers for Khan argued the case against him relies solely on disclosure statements and is "retaliatory" in nature, while counsel Raghav Kumar argued that guard Chun Chun suffered only a "simple injury."
Following arguments from counsel Arvind Kumar Mouar, the court reserved its order on Khan's bail plea Tuesday while simultaneously hearing proceedings regarding rival director Raushan Anand's bail petition.
Investigators initially arrested three people linked to Gyan Bindu Coaching Institute, including director Raushan Anand, after allegations that 15-20 people vandalized the premises; the probe continues as authorities examine video evidence showing guards firing weapons.
