'Co-Branded' Bed Bath & Beyond Stores Opening in 22 Cities, with More Expected
The first phase includes 22 new stores as the brands expand a combined home-shopping concept after both filed for bankruptcy in 2023.
On Thursday, Bed Bath & Beyond and The Container Store launched co-branded locations in 22 cities, marking the first phase of a nationwide rollout designed to create a more connected home shopping experience.
Beyond acquired The Container Store earlier this year to support its Everything Home strategy, aiming to simplify home projects that previously required visiting multiple separate retailers and service providers.
The Container Store announced an "overhaul" of 98 locations in late April to accommodate the new concept; 23 stores have already been rebranded as conversions continue throughout the upcoming weeks.
These co-branded locations are "welcoming customers & immediately" in markets spanning California to New York, with the company planning to continue opening converted stores in the coming weeks.
Executive Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis stated each location is designed to reflect "how people actually live in each market," positioning the co-branded stores as locally tailored retail hubs nationwide.
