- On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that Bhadohi district is now officially named Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi, honoring the medieval saint Satguru Ravidas Maharaj.
- The district, which became the 65th district in 1994, previously underwent name changes; the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party reversed it back to Bhadohi in December 2014.
- Adityanath inaugurated 112 development projects worth over ₹1,340 crore and included Bhadohi carpets in the One District-One Product scheme to strengthen the local carpet industry.
- Infrastructure improvements include connecting Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi to the Ganga Expressway via the Vindhya Expressway and integrating the Sita Samahit Sthal at Sitamarhi into the Ramayana Circuit.
- Adityanath criticized the Samajwadi Party, claiming development funds were previously misused, while asserting the 'double-engine' government has ended lawlessness and improved public safety.
