Club Brugge plans to move to its new stadium not in 2028, but only in the summer of 2029. “It can’t be done any sooner,” says chairman Bart Verhaeghe in an extensive interview appearing on HLN this evening. “We want to do everything thoroughly. That is why we opted for a ‘floating roof’.”

The Blue-Blacks are no longer aiming for a move in 2028, but plan the opening of the long-awaited stadium for the summer of 2029. Chairman Bart Verhaeghe confirms that work can truly get underway early next year. The project is expected to cost around 200 million euros.
