Father’s Day Car Show Draws Big Crowd in Qualicum Beach
More than 500 vehicles were registered and an estimated 20,000 spectators attended the Father’s Day event, organizers said.
On Sunday, June 21, the Seaside Cruizers Father's Day Show returned to Qualicum Beach for its 33rd year, drawing an estimated 20,000 spectators to view more than 500 registered vehicles.
The weekend featured Cruise Night on June 19 and a Poker Run on June 20, which returned after a one-year hiatus to expand the event.
Various classic vehicles were on display, such as David Rodger's 1982 Triumph TR7 and Spencer Kutaj's 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle, alongside Al Clarke's 1932 Ford Roadster and Kelvin Campbell's Copper Penny.
Beyond vehicle displays, the event supports Parksville Qualicum Beach area charities, building on the $30,976.35 the Seaside Cruizers organization donated last year.
Crowds packed downtown streets throughout the day, indicating the Shine will remain a local staple for the foreseeable future.
